Dr. David M. Lavine first fell in love with plastic surgery at the age of 13, when his father, a board certified Ophthalmologist, took him on rounds and introduced him to the new and developing specialty. Dr. Lavine completed his undergraduate work at Duke University and then attended the University of Virginia Medical School in Charlottesville, Virginia, to obtain his medical degree. Following graduation from the University of Virginia in 1972, he moved to Dallas, Texas to begin his general surgery requirements for plastic surgery. Dr. Lavine completed his training at the renowned Baylor University Medical Center. After completing his training in plastic and hand surgery in Akron, Ohio in 1977, Dr. Lavine came to Fort Worth, Texas to start his practice. Dr. Lavine is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and specializes in cosmetic surgery, permanent hair replacement and individualized medical skin care.

Dr. Lavine's work includes publications in both national and international journals. In addition, he is a founding member, Past President and Past Co-Chairman of the Fort Worth Society of Plastic Surgery.
